OSHA updates hazcom webpage
Washington – OSHA has updated its hazard communication webpage to include easier access to topics on the agency’s revised standard.
OSHA updated its Hazard Communication Standard in 2012. The new page has tabs directing users to various letters of interpretation, guidance documents and frequently asked questions regarding requirements in the rule. The updated page also includes information on the Regulatory Cooperation Council and how the new standard aligns with the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.
The next deadline for compliance with the standard’s new requirements is Dec. 1, which is when distributors shall not ship containers that are not compliant with new labeling requirements.
